VRChat translator – talk to every world

In VRChat you meet people from everywhere. Trannel shows what they say as live subtitles on your desktop and speaks your answer in their language with a natural voice.

30 minutes of live translation free every week – no sign-up, no subscription.

Understand everyone around you

Trannel translates the sound your PC plays – the voices in your VRChat instance included. The translation appears as a subtitle overlay on your desktop, on top of the VRChat window. If you like, Trannel only listens to VRChat, so Discord or music don't get mixed in.

Answer in their language

Speak in your own language: Trannel translates you and speaks the translation into a virtual microphone with a natural voice. In VRChat you choose this virtual microphone once as your input device – then the others simply hear you in their language.

The installer sets up the free VB-Audio Virtual Cable for this with the option “Voice for Discord (Beta)”. Push-to-talk or always on – your choice.

Natural voices, offline

Natural voices for 13 languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese and Thai. For other languages Trannel uses the Windows voices.

Speech recognition and translation run entirely on your PC. Neither audio nor text is uploaded – Trannel works without an internet connection and without a cloud account.

Note on “Voice for Discord”: this feature is in beta. It may contain errors and its scope and behaviour may differ from a later version. It is only included in the version from trannelapp.com. Please test it with the free 30 minutes per week before you buy. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
