Discord voice translator – speak any language

Talk in your own language: Trannel translates you live and speaks the translation into Discord with a natural voice. What your friends answer appears as subtitles on your screen.

30 minutes of live translation free every week – no sign-up, no subscription.

How it works

Trannel listens to your microphone, recognises what you say, translates it and speaks the translation into a virtual microphone. Your friends on Discord simply hear you – in their language.

The installer sets up the free VB-Audio Virtual Cable for this with the option “Voice for Discord (Beta)”. Trannel switches the microphone itself while the voice is on and switches it back when you turn it off – your other Windows and Discord settings stay as they are.

Push-to-talk or always on

Hold a key and only that sentence is translated – or leave it on for the whole conversation. Works in Discord and in game voice chats.

Understand the replies too

Trannel also translates what comes out of your speakers – your friends on Discord, a game or a video – and shows it as a subtitle overlay on top of everything.

Natural voices, offline

No robot sound: natural voices for 13 languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese and Thai. They run on your PC – nothing is sent to a server.

Speech recognition and translation run entirely on your PC. Neither audio nor text is uploaded – Trannel works without an internet connection and without a cloud account.

The voice feature is currently in beta.

Yes. Trannel runs 30 minutes free every week – with every feature, no sign-up and no payment details. A license removes the limit.

Which languages can it speak?

Natural voices exist for 13 languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese and Thai. For languages without a natural voice (Turkish, Korean, Arabic) Trannel uses the Windows voices. Speech is recognised in 16 languages.

Do I need to configure Discord?

In Discord you choose the virtual microphone once as your input device. Everything else – including the VB-Audio Virtual Cable – is set up by the installer.
